Kindergartners enjoy visiting with Pete the Cat, from the Upper Saddle River Public Library. Miss Erin, Children's Librarian shares all of the reasons students should get a library card.
You should have heard how excited Bogert students were on Friday as we kicked off our Kids Heart Challenge with an amazing Learning the Ropes assembly! Students were inspired to lead active, healthy lifestyles and never give up. Even some of our students and staff got to show off their jump roping skills! We were VERY impressed!

✨ Bogert School’s Week of Respect: Kindness Looks GOOD on Us! ✨
Last week, Bogert School celebrated Week of Respect, and our school counselors were absolute ROCKSTARS! 🌟
🪑 Mrs. Slacin visited our 2nd graders to teach them all about the Buddy Bench and how to navigate the special benches on our K–2 playground! Students learned how these benches can help everyone find a friend, make connections, and ensure no one feels left out.
🥪 Ms. Senger taught students about respectful behavior and helped bring everyone together through our Mix It Up Lunch for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! Students had the chance to mix up their usual lunch groups, meet new friends, and build connections.
We are so lucky to have counselors who make learning about respect engaging, meaningful, and FUN! 💙 🐾

Our third graders had the opportunity to visit the historic Hopper-Goetschius House!
They stepped back in time as they explored the historic house and learned what life was like long ago. The students enjoyed hands-on activities, discovered interesting pieces of local history, and had a wonderful time learning outside of the classroom!

Back to School Night for PreK–2: Tonight: Thursday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m
On Friday, September 11th, Bogert School came together to reflect on the importance of community, resilience, and hope. Students in grades 4-5 read "This Very Tree", while our K–3 students enjoyed "Whose Hands Are These?".
We were honored to welcome local police officers and first responders to our special assembly. We were also thrilled to have two K-9 support dogs join us, Nash and Mocha! 🐾
Thank you to all of our community heroes for helping us create a meaningful day of reflection, connection, and hope. ❤️

Today, all Bogert students were wowed by “Magic Jim,” who entertained and inspired us while teaching important lessons about good character. What a fun and meaningful way to kick off the new school year! ✨🎩
Welcome Back Bogert Bobcats!
Dear Bogert Parents,
Due to the wet conditions on the ground, we will be unable to use the field for parking. Once the main lots are full, personnel will direct parents to park behind Bogert. As a result, all students grades 3-5 will line up in the hallway outside of their classrooms.

Dear Bogert Families,
We are so excited to welcome our students back tomorrow for the first day of school!
A few quick reminders:
Tomorrow is a minimum day with a 12:20 p.m. dismissal.
The first bell rings at 7:55 a.m., and instruction begins at 8:05 a.m. No student should be dropped off prior to 7:30am, the time at which supervision begins.
Please be sure your child knows their dismissal plan.
Parents may park on the field during morning drop-off tomorrow, weather permitting.
Families are welcome to take photos outside the school before saying goodbye. Please note that parents and guardians will not be permitted to enter the building.
Friday, September 4 is a full day of school. All students should bring lunch on Friday. The PTO lunch program begins Tuesday, September 8.
Food deliveries from outside vendors are strictly prohibited and will not be accepted.
Traffic may be heavier during the first few days as families become familiar with new routines.
Please be patient with one another and follow the directions of staff members who are there to assist with arrival, dismissal, and traffic flow.
We are looking forward to a wonderful first day and an exciting start to our first year together at Bogert School! See you tomorrow!
