This week, students and parents enjoyed the opportunity to read together the book "Frindle" at the Read-A-Latte Cafe. Resources for the Bogert Book Club have been emailed to families this week. Thank you to everyone who participated and enjoy reading this school wide book!

Congratulations to February's Bobcats of the month! Keep up the great work, Bobcats!

Students from Mrs. Chiellini's class created time capsules for their 1,000th day of school. In another 1,000 days of school, students will open them up again when they are juniors in high school!

Students in Mrs. Hopson's class created fractions on a number line using twizzlers and playdough. Using fractions, students even made their own play dough with flour, salt, and water!

Ms. Darienzo's class did a mid-year math recap where students retaught an important skill that they've covered during the school year. Here, students from one group are presenting on subtracting mixed numbers!

We are excited to announce the winner of the Bogert School Spelling Bee. The bee lasted 25 rounds, with several rounds going off the scripted word list. After a fierce back and forth final round against our 2nd place finisher, who was Ninaad in 4th grade, 5th grader Inika was crowned as the 2026 Bogert School Champion (her championship word was, "delectation"). This is her second time as our school champion. We wish her luck at the NJ state regional spelling bee in March. We are very proud of ALL of the participants, no matter how far they made it in the competition!

The Leo Club is collecting new and gently used books and blankets for Oasis, an organization in Paterson that supports women and children facing poverty. The drive will run from February 2 through February 13.

Congratulations to January's Bobcats of the Month! Keep up the great work, Bobcats!

This week, students from the Leo club worked on cards that will be sent to the residents of an assisted living home.

This week was School Counselor Appreciation Week. Ms. Senger does so much for both the students and the school. To show our appreciation, students worked together in their homerooms to share the many reasons why we love her. Their thoughts were compiled into a large poster that is proudly displayed outside her office. Thank you, Ms. Senger, for all that you do!

This week, 4th grade students participated in Bobcat Book Buddies. This is where students from Bogert read to students in Reynolds. The students did a great job and loved being able to participate in this event!

Good evening,
I hope you and your families stayed safe and warm during our recent snowstorm.
I'm writing to let you know that, at this time, our schools will be open tomorrow, January 27, on a regular schedule. Our facilities and grounds teams will continue monitoring conditions overnight to ensure everything is safe for arrival.
If weather or road conditions change and a delayed opening becomes necessary, we will communicate that decision to families by 5:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Thank you for your continued support and flexibility during winter weather. We look forward to welcoming our students back tomorrow!

Due to inclement weather conditions, Upper Saddle River Schools will be closed tomorrow, January 26, 2026.
This week, we celebrated the newest bobcats for the month for November during our "Paws-itively You" assembly. Students also heard about the wonderful things that the Bobcat Buddies club has been participating in this year and the exciting things that they will continue to do as the year goes on!

This week, 4th grade students enjoyed a science assembly all about different types of electricity and energy transfer. Then students participated in a hands on experience by building their own circuits!

Congratulations to the newest Bobcats of the month for October! Keep up the great work!

Thanks to the generosity of the PTO, student-favorite author, Aaron Reynolds, spoke to the children about his experiences as a reader and writer. What an incredible program full of energy and humor!

Bogert students jumped their hearts out on Friday by participating in the Kid's Heart Challenge. Students rotated to different stations and participated in many different jump rope activities. Students have until October 31st to submit a donation towards the Kid's Heart Challenge. Additional information on this can be found in the October bulletin.

Bogert faculty supported breast cancer awareness month by wearing pink during our Week of Respect!
