7th Grade Enrichment students joined forces with our Leo Club to collect 2,700 cans of food. Before donating them to a local food pantry, Enrichment students created unique structures that were on display in the Glass Hallway.
Many thanks to the USR Educational Foundation and USRA Coalition for sponsoring Chris Singleton as our assembly speaker on February 13. Chris shared his personal stories, encouraging unity across the entire school body.
February 3 was the Cavallini school-wide spelling bee. The spelling bee started with 54 spellers and was narrowed down to one winner who moves on to county regionals! The final two spellers were Cyrus Hazeghi and Karishma Santhosh. Both spellers went 8 rounds and Karishma won in the final round with the word Heptathlon. Congratulations to all participants and we wish Karishma good luck as she moves on to the regional round at Bergen Community College on March 10.

I'm writing to let you know that, at this time, our schools will be open tomorrow, January 27, on a regular schedule. Our facilities and grounds teams will continue monitoring conditions overnight to ensure everything is safe for arrival.
If weather or road conditions change and a delayed opening becomes necessary, we will communicate that decision to families by 5:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.
