In order to prevent summer learning loss, we strongly encourage participation in Bogert's Summer Reading 

Challenge!  This summer-long program requires students to log what books they read and how long they spend reading.  After your child reads, s/he will complete the Google Form associated with their 2026-2027 class (see links below). The class that has the most students who read for at least 500 minutes (which works out to roughly 30 minutes twice a week) will win a bagel breakfast.  We will also recognize the student at each grade-level who reads the most over the summer by winning a gift card to Barnes and Noble and will also have his/her name inscribed on a plaque outside of the Main Office.  

** All minutes must be logged throughout the summer; we will not accept one entry covering the entire summer.
