Upper Saddle River Board of Education Timeline for Superintendent Search 2024
April 15:
After reviewing various Superintendent Search firms, the Upper Saddle River Board of Education (USRBOE) selected Strategic Educational Advantage LLC (SEA) to assist them with their search process.
April 23:
The USRBOE met with SEA for a search planning meeting to structure the details of the Search Process
April 25 – May 11:
USRBOE finalized the Upper Saddle River Board of Education Stakeholder Survey. The survey was operational through 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11th.
May 7:
SEA met with various stakeholder groups selected by the USRBOE starting at 12:45 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m., a Community Forum was open to anyone living in the Upper Saddle River community.
May 16:
SEA presented to the USRBOE Superintendent Search Committee the quantitative data collected by the Survey and the qualitative data from the Stakeholder Meetings. The data was used to generate the
Profile of the Candidate and the Advertisement.
May 17 and 20:
The ad will be posted on the district website and various professional/employment/recruiting sites selected by the USRBOE.
May 17 – June 12:
SEA will interview every candidate that applies. The USRBOE will receive resumes and cover letters of all candidates.
June 13:
The USRBOE and SEA will jointly review all of the candidates and the USRBOE will select the candidates they choose to interview.
June 15 and 17:
These dates have been selected for first round interviews.
June 22:
Final round of interviews.
Appointment of the new Superintendent will follow, with the start date dependent upon the candidate’s separation clause with their present district.
