• Our Collective Voice: A Celebration of Resilience & Hope

    Welcome to "Resilience & Hope."  In this seventh grade ELA study we examined how writers / artists respond to crisis -- and also how they uplift those of us who view their art. 

    Throughout this experience we have studied the works that have come out of 9/11, the AIDS Crisis, Civil Rights Movement, environmental issues and COVID-19.

    We were then inspired to create our own writing / art in response to our current crisis, with the purpose of instilling resilience and hope into our school community. 

    As stated by artist Kadir Nelson, "I would challenge everyone and anyone to fill their days with creating something that will help themselves get to the next moment...so by the end of this experience we’ve created this beautiful document that shows where we’ve been and how we’re going to move forward.”
