¡Bienvenidos a la clase de Español!
Me llamo Señora Cook. ¡Estoy muy emocionada por la oportunidad de explorar el mundo de español con ustedes!Welcome to Spanish!
My name is Suzanne Cook. I am thrilled to work with my students and their families this year in Spanish. 2024-2025 will be my ninth year at Reynolds School! If you are new to Reynolds, bienvenido! I can't wait to work with you! Many of my students ask how I became interested in Spanish. I grew up in a home where Italian was spoken, which sparked curiosity about language and culture in me at a young age. My first formal experience learning a language was studying Spanish as a seventh grader at River Dell Middle School. The rest is history! I went on to earn dual degrees in Spanish and Linguistics from Georgetown University, with a minor in the teacher preparation program. While at Georgetown, I also studied French intensively. I lived in Europe for three years and served as a teacher for students who were part of military families serving overseas. Did you know that I have visited over 15 countries, including Spain? I can't wait to share my experiences with you and to hear about your travels! Did you know that I am a mom to three sons who also love studying Spanish? In our free time, we enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures together.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Welcome to a wonderful year exploring the language and cultures of the Spanish- Speaking world! I am excited to be on this "viaje" with you!
