In the classroom, we follow the Everyday Mathematics curriculum for grades 3, 4, and 5.  In this setting, students benefit from small group instruction that is differentiated to support all learning needs.  Please check your child's agenda for daily assignments as well as upcoming long-term projects.

Xtra Math
XtraMath is a free web-based program that helps students master basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. Students learn to recall them quickly and accurately and can then use these math facts as a basis on which to build more complex problem-solving skills.

Everyday Math Games

Khan Academy
This site features a library of over 2,700 instructional videos and 240 practice exercises covering a variety of subjects, including many elementary mathematics topics.

Students answer questions in the format of a quiz, questionnaire, or survey using their ipads as a review of concepts in a variety of different subjects. The teacher can use a Kahoot that is already created, or he or she can create her own Kahoot. Using teacher-designed templates, students could even create their own Kahoot to quiz their classmates.

Students practice math concepts in higher-level formats by using activities that involve drag and drop, matching, and clicking. Aligned to the new math standards, this educational resource allows teachers to assess their students’ progress, as well as collect data on their students’ understanding of the mathematical content.

Students and teachers can create various study tools, like quizzes, flashcards, and games. They can be accessed on a variety of devices and shared between teachers and classmates.
